The Alexander Fire Dept

The Alexander Fire Department provides fire and rescue coverage to
portions of  Pulaski and Saline Counties in Central Arkansas. We have three
stations covering the City of Alexander. Our district borders with the
following fire districts: Bryant FD, Crystal FD, Little Rock FD, Northeast Saline
County FD, and Shannon Hills FD. Our Central station is located at 15413 S.
Alexander Road, Station 2 is located at the intersection on 2nd and Main
Streets, and our station 3 is located Evergreen Drive and Pine Manor.

Alexander Gets New Equipment

















Due to an enormous effort made by Alexander Fire Departments Chief,
Patrick Duvall, the AFD was the proud recipient of a 2008 F.E.M.A Grant.  All
personnel were very pleased with the purchase of new bunker gear.  One
of the many purchases made with this grant were 20 sets of Cairns
Reaction turnout gear.  Included with that were Globe boots, 1044 Cairns
Defender helmets, 24 MSA FireHawk SCBA packs with built in radio
interface and LED display and 48 MSA 4500psi bottles. The Alexander Fire
Department would like to thank Matt Weaver from Sunbelt Fire and Keith
Davidson, the Grant writer, for their efforts in making all this possible.

Alexander FD gears up for water rescue
















Due to a recent increase in the amount of water rescue calls Alexander fire
dept has been dispatched to, the Alexander fire dept just recently
purchased a 14 foot aluminum welded flat bottom boat with an 8 hp
Yamaha outboard motor. We would like  to thank Federal Surplus for
helping us make this possible
